According to statistics, there are more than 100 varieties in eight series of marble found in Yunnan, including white, yellow, black, red, green, purple, brown and light blue, mainly including:
1. White (grayish white) series: dozens of varieties have been found, including "Gongshan White", "Fugong White", "Snow White", "Screen Edge White", "Hekou White", "Hekou White Jade", "Ice White", "Shigu White", "Li White Jade", "Yulong White", "Cang White Jade", "Water Flower", "Colorful Flower", "Wenshan White", "White Wood Grain", and "Dian White Jade". The predicted potential resources are more than 35 billion meters ³。
2. Yellow series: including light yellow and golden yellow series.
(1) Light yellow series: dozens of varieties have been developed, including "Yunnan Beihuang", "Shilin Beihuang", "Baoshan Rice Noodle", "Red Line Beihuang", "Golden Line Beihuang", "Douhua Beihuang", and "Athens Beihuang". The predicted potential resources are more than 50 billion meters ³。
(2) Golden series: nearly 20 varieties have been found, including "Jingui", "Huangjinyu", "Cibihuang", "Xiangshanhuang", and "Huangagate". The predicted potential resources are more than 15 billion m ³。
3. Black series: dozens of varieties have been developed, including "black jade", "crystal black jade", "black diamond", "black gold flower", "black ice flower", "black peony", "black and white root", "Shangri La black", "wood grain jade", "black sandalwood", etc. The ore bearing horizons include the Heishantou Formation of the Kunyang Group, the Silurian System, the Devonian System, and the Triassic System. 8. Blue series: At present, only a few are found in the basic rock contact alteration zone near Kunming, Jianchuan and Honghezhou, and the prospective resources are less than 100 million m ³。
