According to media reports, recently, in Qichengzi area, 50 kilometers east of Mulei Kazak Autonomous County, Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, in the north of Sangequanzi (Longmeida Stone Note: Sangequanzi and Qichengzi are local village names), two kinds of rare decorative granite wood grain stone and cave stone were found in China. According to the test, the radioactivity of the two kinds of stone met the requirements of Class A decoration.
At present, Mulei County Government is entrusting relevant geological units to carry out geological exploration for the mineral resources of facing granite in this area, and the estimated resource amount is about 70 million cubic meters.
The relevant person in charge of the building materials office of the autonomous region said that granite wood grain stone and cave stone found in Mulei County have not been found in other places in China. At present, an enterprise has carried out resource development on rare stone newly found in Mulei County. After being officially put into production, it can produce 200000 square meters of cave stone and 200000 square meters of wood grain stone annually.
