This is the first fixed container freight train in Guangxi. The annual combined transport volume of this railway train can reach 1.4 million tons. Its development has opened up a new and convenient channel for local stone export.
It is understood that Hezhou, Guangxi, is a major white marble industrial cluster in China, with an annual output of 7.5 million tons of stone powder and slate, and more than half of the output is mainly sold to Guangdong, Fujian, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Jiangsu and other places by means of highway and waterway transport. Although public water intermodal transport has the advantages of timeliness, convenience and flexibility, it also has the disadvantages of small scale, low traffic volume, poor safety and being subject to road transport conditions and weather conditions.
Therefore, since the late April of this year, Wuzhou Railway Freight Center has reached a joint transport agreement with four local logistics enterprises, jointly opening the multimodal transport mode of stone powder, stone plate container road, railway and waterway from Zhongshan to Zhanjiang, Maoming, Chengdu, Kunming, and from Zhongshan to Wuzhou Port, which has changed the single way of road water joint transport of Hezhou stone materials, enabling Hezhou stone materials to achieve the goal of centralized, batch, fast and safe outward transport, The transportation channel has been widened. As the railway implements the policy of floating freight rates, and the cost of intermodal transportation is low, many local logistics enterprises actively request to join the intermodal train. In order to meet the market demand, Nanning Railway Bureau decided to launch the "five fixed" train from Zhongshan to Wuzhou stone powder container transportation from August 20. The train runs once a day, and can ship 90 containers of stone powder every day, with an annual transportation volume of 1.4 million tons.
It is understood that after the railway plans to run a fixed stone powder train, many local logistics enterprises also want to join the train service, and Zhongshan Railway Station requests 140 containers of stone powder every day. After the improvement of railway loading and unloading and transportation capacity, the stone powder train is expected to expand, and the annual combined transport volume is expected to exceed 2 million tons, which will greatly promote the rapid development of Hezhou stone pillar industry.
