On the afternoon of September 26, 2014, Guangdong Stone Association held the fourth council of the eighth session in Guangzhou International Procurement Center. Gong Meihua, vice president of Guangdong Stone Association and chairman of Longmeida Stone Group, sent Fang Junxiang, an assistant, to attend the meeting as a representative.
Guangdong Stone Association held the fourth council (enlarged) meeting of the eighth session, which was attended by consultants, all directors and heads of the Design and Application Committee. The first half of the meeting was mainly about the establishment of the stone installation engineering professional committee and the artificial stone professional committee, and the establishment of the stone design application qualification rating system and the stone engineering qualification rating system.
The meeting also considered and voted on such proposals as the Association's Rules and Regulations, the Industry Self discipline Management Reward and Punishment Measures, and the Code of Professional Ethics. After the above proposal was passed by voting, a certificate of appointment and a plaque were issued to the leading body of the Eighth Council at the meeting.
In the second half of the meeting, the investigation expert group of the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province came to the meeting place for investigation and held a "special investigation symposium on stone industry" to exchange and discuss the current situation and development difficulties of stone import and export in Guangdong Province. The members of the Association expressed their own opinions based on the actual development of their own enterprises, and provided rich materials for experts' research.
After the meeting, the Association organized participants to visit Guangzhou Academy of Building Sciences and held an industry exchange dinner.
