On November 10, 2014, the fourth seminar on the industry standard of Technical Specifications for the Production of Ultra thin Stone Composite Panels was held in Shuitou, Fujian Province. According to the on-site information, the industry standard is expected to be released in the second half of 2015. The seminar was co sponsored by the National Stone Quality Supervision and Inspection Center and the Composite Panel Special Committee of the All China Federation of Industry and Commerce of Stone Industry Chamber of Commerce.
At the meeting, Li Shanli, Secretary General of the Stone Industry Chamber of Commerce of the All China Federation of Industry and Commerce, delivered a speech. Li Shanli believes that the second stone industry climax is coming, and the national "12th Five Year Plan" proposes to implement new urbanization construction, which will drive the rapid development of decorative building materials, and also shows that there is still a lot of room for growth in stone consumption. She believes that the composite board industry, as a branch of the stone industry, started late but developed rapidly. However, it is imperative to strengthen the standardization construction of the industry in order to shift from the tooling market to the home decoration market. Only by standardizing the specifications and dimensions of stone materials and services, can consumers and designers be clear at a glance. Composite slab stone enterprises should improve product quality and strengthen guidance to consumers.
Li Shanli said that many people are worried about the radiation of stone materials and the aging of composite plates, which is wrong. Enterprises should actively cooperate with the National Quality Inspection Center to participate in quality testing, and strengthen publicity and guidance, so that consumers can correctly understand the composite board. The most important part of this seminar is to listen to the reasonable opinions of the composite board enterprises on the twice revised Technical Specifications for the Production of Ultra thin Stone Composite Boards. At the meeting, representatives of various enterprises spoke enthusiastically and expressed their approval and expectation for the formulation of the standard.
The Technical Specifications for the Production of Ultra thin Stone Composite Panels is the most systematic standard in the stone industry. The standard is detailed to terms, specifications, dimensions and installation methods. Once the standard is officially released, it can make enterprise production management more standardized, and it can also be more easily used by real estate developers. It is understood that the standard is currently drafted by the China Real Estate Association and its three subordinate real estate agents, the China Building Decoration Association and its three subordinate enterprises, and nine stone enterprises. The real estate and decoration industries can participate in the drafting, which not only allows them to have a deep understanding of the composite board industry, but also can effectively promote the composite board industry.
Most of the participants reached a consensus that it is not enough to let stone enterprises know the production standards. For brand stone enterprises, they should also improve the understanding of the standards of local franchisees and strengthen training to effectively implement the standards.
